What is Qalb?

Qalb is a Quranic psychology app built around the concept of the nafs — the soul — and the 33 spiritual patterns described in the Quran and Sunnah that shape our inner lives. The app helps you identify which patterns are active in you, understand their roots, and work through a structured 30-day healing module for each one.

Everything in the app is grounded in Quranic verses, authentic hadith, and the classical Islamic scholarly tradition.

Getting Started

How do I assess a pattern?

Open Patterns from the home screen. Tap any pattern to read its background, then tap Assess to answer a short set of questions. Your score determines whether the pattern is active or dormant.

What is a module?

A module is a 30-day programme for one pattern. Each day has a short teaching, a practice task, and a reflection prompt. Completing a module marks that pattern as healed. You can only run one module at a time.

What is the Nafs Journey?

The Nafs Journey (found in the Patterns tab) is an educational reference explaining the seven stages of the soul described by Ibn Arabi — from Nafs al-Ammara (the commanding soul) to Nafs al-Kamila (the perfected soul). It shows where the 33 patterns sit in the journey and, if you have assessed any patterns, where your healing work is currently concentrated.

What are Duas?

The Duas section contains a curated collection of authentic supplications drawn from the Quran and Sunnah, tagged by emotional state and life situation. Each dua includes Arabic text, transliteration, translation, and a brief explanation of its meaning.
